GENORAY (CEO Park Byung-wook), a global leader in medical X-ray imaging diagnostic equipment, has been recognized for its 23 years of dedication and achievements with multiple awards at the 61st Trade Day.
On the 5th, at the 61st Trade Day ceremony held at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul, GENORAY was recognized for its contribution to revitalizing medical device exports through the localization of X-ray imaging diagnostic equipment.
The company announced on the 6th that it received several honors, including an Industrial Service Merit.
At the ceremony, CEO Park Byung-wook was awarded the Bronze Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit, Factory Manager Choi Jae-hoon (Seongnam Plant 1) received a Presidential Commendation, and General Manager Park Jong-yeop (European subsidiary) received a Commendation from the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy.
CEO Park Byung-wook received the Bronze Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit for his contributions to the development of the medical device industry—a new national growth engine—and the national economy. Key achievements cited for CEO Park include the internalization of core
X-ray imaging diagnostic technology, replacing imported equipment with domestic production, maintaining a 100% full-time workforce, and achieving $50 million in exports.
Director Choi Jae-hoon, who received the Presidential Commendation, has been dedicated to medical device production at GENORAY for approximately 20 years, overseeing procurement, materials management, quality control,
and customer support, and was recognized for playing a pivotal role in enhancing product competitiveness.
Additionally, General Manager Park Jong-yeop was recognized for his contribution to national prestige by leading market expansion across Eastern, Central, and Western Europe, significantly increasing exports in the region.
Following the $50 Million Export Tower and the Minister of Health and Welfare Commendation in 2022, CEO Park Byung-wook, who was awarded the Bronze Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit,
credited his team, stating, “All these achievements, including the Bronze Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit, are the result of the sweat and hard work of our 'one team'—our employees in Korea and abroad, and our partners.”
GENORAY researches, develops, manufactures, and sells X-ray imaging diagnostic equipment used in hospitals and dental clinics. The company was designated as a Global Hidden Champion (Ministry of SMEs and Startups) in 2021, and as one of the
National Representative 1000 Innovative Companies (Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy) and a Leading Innovative Medical Device Company (Ministry of Health and Welfare), and is actively expanding in the global market. Following the opening of its new Seongnam Plant 1 last October, the company
relocated and expanded its research center to Samseong Station this past May, accelerating its momentum toward achieving over 20% annual growth.
