GENORAY Co., Ltd. (CEO Byung-wook Park), a global leader in medical X-ray imaging diagnostic systems, announced the launch of its dental CR scanner, GenX-CR.

The GenX-CR is a device that converts X-ray signals into digital images using an image plate when capturing X-rays of a patient's teeth and surrounding tissues. It received FDA 510(k) clearance last September. The FDA 510(k) is a regulatory process that verifies the safety and effectiveness of a medical device before it is marketed.

Weighing just 1.9kg with a compact design, the device can be used in any space and supports 13 languages, including English, Chinese, and German. It also features a 4.3-inch touch screen with a user-friendly and intuitive Graphical User Interface (GUI) for convenient operation. It provides clear images, enabling accurate and diverse diagnoses for conditions such as interproximal caries, calculus, implant placement, and endodontic treatment.

Notably, it comes with image plates in various sizes from 0 to 3, allowing for versatile use across pediatric, adult, and occlusal applications. The plates are thin and flexible, ensuring minimal discomfort inside the mouth. Compared to film-based systems, it offers faster image acquisition and processing, which improves workflow efficiency and provides economic benefits through reusability.

A GENORAY representative stated, "The new GenX-CR will make its debut at GAMEX 2024, held at COEX on the 28th, and we plan to begin full-scale sales in the dental imaging market." They added, "Following the relocation of our new factory last year and the expansion of our Gangnam R&D center, GENORAY is accelerating technological innovation and digital transformation. We aim to further strengthen our global competitiveness by introducing a variety of new products."

Founded in 2001, GENORAY is a company specializing in medical X-ray imaging diagnostic systems. It exports products to over 80 countries through five overseas subsidiaries and 150 global partners. It is a global healthcare company with 76% of its revenue generated from international markets.
